The Queen of the Orchard Peach, also known as ‘Monstrueuse de Douรฉ’, is an old variety renowned for its large, juicy, white-fleshed fruits. This variety is distinguished by its resistance to diseases and its ability to produce abundant harvests, even in the regions north of the Loire.
Description of Fruits
The fruits of the Queen Orchard Peach are large, with a downy skin of whitish yellow color on the shaded side and purple-red when sunstroked. Their flesh is white with shades of pink near the pit, tangy, tasty and very fragrant. This combination of flavors makes it a versatile fruit, ideal for fresh consumption as well as for pastries and preserves.
