The Fall Gold Raspberry is an exceptional variety, known for its golden yellow raspberries with a sweet and delicate taste. This everbearing variety produces two generous harvests, the first in June and the second in the fall, making it a perfect choice for berry lovers.
The raspberries at Fall Gold are large, juicy, and bright yellow. Their flavour is mild with a slight hint of acidity, which makes them ideal to be eaten fresh, in jams, or in desserts. Fruit is also less attractive to birds, an advantage in maximizing your harvest.
The Fall Gold raspberry is a hardy plant, able to withstand temperatures down to -15°C. It prefers sunny or semi-shaded exposures and thrives in well-drained, rich and slightly acidic soils. The plant reaches a height of about 1.20 meters and requires training to support its flexible canes.
Plant the Fall Gold raspberry bush between February and December. Be sure to weed well around the base for the first year to promote vigorous growth. Pruning canes is essential to maintain good productivity: remove canes that are two years old after fruiting and plead new growth for better aeration and disease reduction.
‘Fall Gold’ raspberries are perfect for immediate consumption or for making jams, coulis, sorbets, and other desserts. Their unique colour adds a touch of elegance to all your culinary preparations.
Raspberries ‘Fall Gold’ have a short shelf life, so it is recommended to consume them quickly after harvest or to freeze them to extend their use.
‘Fall Gold’ is a self-fertile strain, which means it doesn’t need another plant to fruit. However, planting multiple plants can improve overall productivity.
