Muscat persimmon (Diospyros kaki ‘Muscat’) is a variety of persimmon native to Asia, known for its large, round, shiny fruits, orange to red in color when ripe. This fruit is particularly appreciated for its melting and sweet flesh after blising, perfect to be eaten fresh, in jam, or dried.
