The white vine peach, often grown in vineyards, is an old variety with very fragrant white flesh. It once served as an indicator of grapevine diseases and is sought after for its rich flavor and robust nature :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}.
Medium to large fruit, round, greenish-yellow skin subtly mottled with red. The flesh is white, firm, juicy, very sweet and delicately flavored :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}.
The tree is vigorous and can grow up to 3–4 m and thrives well in draining soils exposed to the sun. It tolerates spring frosts thanks to a flowering in April :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}.
It is self-fertile, resistant to blistering, and starts producing as early as 3–4 years, with a productive lifespan of around 12–15 years:contentReference[oaicite:4]{index=4}.
Pruning is done at the end of winter to promote ventilation. Mulching at the foot and moderate watering in the first year are recommended:contentReference[oaicite:5]{index=5}.
