Growing Conditions

‘Joséphine de Mechelen’ has moderate vigour with naturally drooping branches. Although the variety shows limited growth and production when grafted onto quince, better performance is seen with intergraft. This pear is extremely hardy and has a very low susceptibility to scab, which makes it much easier to grow.
