The Soldat Laboureur Pear Tree is an old Belgian variety created in 1820 by Major Espéren in Mechelen. This remarkable autumn pear perfectly embodies the alliance between tradition and taste quality, offering gardeners a hardy and productive variety, ideal for all French climates.

Soldat Laboureur pears are distinguished by their medium to large size and their characteristic shape, most often turbinated and globose, sometimes bumpy with an irregular surface. Their smooth, thick skin has a beautiful golden yellow colour with reddish-brown mottles, especially on the side exposed to the sun.
The white, slightly yellowish flesh is remarkably fine and melting. Very juicy, it develops a perfectly balanced flavour between sweet sweetness and light acidity, enhanced by a delicate fragrance that makes the reputation of this gourmet variety.
