The Reinette apple tree of Canada White is renowned for its large, thick-skinned, firm-fleshed apples. This heirloom variety is particularly prized for its sweet and slightly spicy taste, with low acidity that makes it ideal for fresh consumption or cooking. Its appeal lies not only in its taste qualities but also in its visual appearance, with its greenish-yellow fruits becoming almost white when fully ripe.
The ‘Reinette du Canada Blanc’ is adapted to temperate and cold climates, preferring sunny areas and rich, well-drained soils. It is a variety that benefits from pruning and careful management to prevent diseases and promote a good harvest. It is relatively resistant to fruit rot and other common apple problems.
