The Bleue de Belgique is an old and revered variety of plum tree, native to Belgium. It produces large, dark-coloured, almost spherical plums with firm, yellowish flesh. The texture of the flesh is tender and the fruit is deliciously juicy and sweet, with a pleasantly spicy taste. The tree itself is vigorous and early, showing great fertility and good resistance to cold, capable of growing up to 800 meters above sea level.
