The Red Love apple tree represents a revolutionary innovation in the world of apples. This recent Swiss creation, developed by Markus Kobelt, offers entirely red fruits, from the skin to the heart of the flesh, creating a striking visual spectacle that leaves no one indifferent.
Much more than just an aesthetic curiosity, this modern variety combines natural genetic innovation with exceptional taste qualities, revolutionizing the traditional conception of the apple while respecting natural selection methods.
| Benefit | Feature | Advantage |
|---|---|---|
| Antioxidants | 40% more | Anti-inflammatory properties |
| Color | Intense all-over | Exceptional visual appeal |
| Conservation | Flesh does not | Ideal for preparations |
This apple is a real “superfruit” thanks to its exceptional richness in anthocyanins, the natural pigments responsible for its red color that have scientifically recognized antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
The fruits of the Red Love are medium in size with a bright red skin that announces surprise from within. The crisp, juicy flesh develops a uniform intense red color , creating a striking contrast when carving.
The taste profile reveals a perfect balance between sweetness and delicate acidity, with subtle notes of berries that recall its kinship with Asian varieties. This unique flavour sits harmoniously between the freshness of the Granny Smith and the sweetness of the Gala.
The versatility of Red Love transforms every culinary preparation into a work of art:
The major advantage lies in the fact that the flesh does not brown after cutting, retaining its bright red colour and facilitating aesthetic preparations.
In spring, the Red Love apple tree offers a remarkable floral spectacle with its dark red to pink flowers that bloom at the end of April. This mid-late bloom naturally protects the tree from spring frosts while creating a striking decorative effect in the orchard.
Red Love demonstrates excellent resistance to scab and common diseases, requiring up to 4 times fewer treatments than traditional varieties. This natural resistance makes it a preferred choice for organic and environmentally friendly cultivation.
As this variety is not self-fertile, combine it with the Golden Delicious Apple Tree or the Queen of the Reinettes Apple Tree to optimize pollination and guarantee abundant fruiting.
The Red Love apple tree represents the last major innovation in apple growing since the creation of the Pink Lady in the 90s. This modern variety perfectly meets contemporary expectations: outstanding aesthetics, superior nutritional qualities, natural resistance to diseases and ease of cultivation.
Perfect for surprising children and arousing their curiosity about fruit, Red Love transforms the tasting of a simple apple into a real sensory discovery, combining visual pleasure and taste satisfaction in a unique experience.
